Programming specifics

  • Coded in Visual Basic 6.0 using no aftermarket controls.
  • Current exe size (p-code) about 1200k.
  • 20 Forms, 10 modules, 34 classes.
  • 20,000+ lines of code.
  • Uses one freeware dll for lpt port control.
  • Database is Access 2000.
  • Uses data-bound controls for log and check functions.
  • The logging program has been designed to work on a Pentium II 233 MHz as a minimum platform. Thus, it runs reasonably on a 233 Pentium II. It has not been and won't be a priority to make it run on clunkers.

Are you interested in working on this?

I am looking for others who would like to help with development of the logging program. Currently AB5K, PA3CEF, N2AMG, G4UJS, N7ZFI, VU2PTT and I are developing the program. It is a cooperative development venture, sort of like Linux. I'd be interested in your opinion. Of course, you'll need your own copy of VB 6.0.

Contact me via the Yahoo group to discuss working on this project.
