East Metro Atlanta Events - eMetro Times Events - 28 Apr 17
Some days on a community calendar hold only a handful of entries, and a thin day is informative in its own way. Late in the spring term, school and college events crowd into the last weeks before examinations, charity walks take the weekend slots, and everything else waits for summer. A page with two listings on it is usually a Friday in that stretch.
The two kinds of entry here are the ones that fill spring calendars everywhere. A campus spring festival — food, music, student organisations, an open afternoon for families — is how a college opens its grounds to the town at the end of a term. An overnight relay for a cancer charity, hosted by a church or a school track, is the opposite kind of event: teams register in advance, walk in shifts through the night, and the listed start time is only when the first lap begins. Anyone planning to attend the second sort needs to know that the commitment is a team one, made weeks earlier.
This page is the archive of one day from the events calendar that ran on this domain before City Home. Venues, times and hosts belong to that spring; some of the programs named still run annually, and the current details are published by the organisations themselves. City Home does not take registrations, sell tickets or manage listings.
