
The Young Professionals of Newton County group is gearing up for its next monthly event, to be held at the Oaks Golf Course on Thursday, May 28. Last month, the group met at Atlanta Gran Prix for an evening of go karting fun.
Covington, GA — The Young Professionals of Newton County group is holding its monthly after hours event at the Oaks Golf Course next week.
From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 28, YPNC members and other guests wishing to learn more about the group are invited to the Oaks Course, which is located at 11240 Brown Bridge Road, near Crowell Road.
Those wishing to attend are asked to RSVP by Tuesday, May 26 by emailing [email protected] in order for the group to prepare.
Appetizers will be served, and food and drink specials will be available at the Oaks.
The event will start off with a guest speaker, Newton County District 3 Commissioner Nancy Schulz in the Champions Rooms. Afterwards, guests can enjoy food and drinks and golf. There will also be a golf swag giveaway.
YPNC members are welcome to participate in golf games on the green with The Oaks Head Pro Gary Miller, practice on the range with special range bucket prices or play nine holes before sunset.
Members who have already paid to join the group also can pick up their YPNC T-shirts.
Membership forms will be available for anybody wishing to sign up that night, and a limited number of T-shirts also are available. Business sponsorship opportunities also are available.
YPNC debuted in March as a group for professionals under 40 years old to participate in monthly social, professional and community events. The yearly membership fee for Newton County Chamber of Commerce members is $40 and non-Chamber members is $50; membership is included with some company sponsorships. Membership includes a T-shirt, access to YPNC events and discounts to attend certain social events.
