Covington, GA — The Young Professionals of Newton County group held an event featuring an evening of karting and dinner at a local karting track.
At 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 30, YPNC members and other guests wishing to learn more about the group were invited to Atlanta Gran Prix Karting, which is located at 350 Old Oxford Road, off the Access Road near Interstate 20 in Covington.
Dinner was provided by Bradley’s Bar-B-Que.
At the event, the Office of Economic Development was on hand to discuss growth in Newton County. While not karting, guests were also invited to make and decorate poster boards that will be used to cheer on athletes at the Newton County Miracle League Field during games on Saturday, May 16, which start at 9 a.m. and end about 12:30 p.m.
