6th grader Cameron Sigur
Conyers, Ga- September 15, 2015-Young Americans Christian School brought home the win against Cherokee Christian to win 36-14 on September 17th at their home stadium. The team improved their record to 2-0. The Eagles were powered by their leading rusher, Cameron Sigur, who had 131 total yards and two touchdowns. Aaron Walker also had a 19 yard reception for a touchdown. Defensively Colton Young led the team with 11 tackles, an interception and a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown.
The team is coached by Chuck Turner and Scott Wood. YACS participates in the Georgia Independent Christian Athletics Association.
The team’s next game is Sept. 24th against Horizon Christian in Cumming.
