From the archive. This report was published on this domain by the community newspaper that ran here before City Home. We keep it online because the record is worth keeping; prices, dates and contacts in it are historical.

Grab your partner and register as a team for the tournament. There is still time to register for this fun and worthwhile event. The cost is just $40 per player ($80 per team). All players will receive a tournament t-shirt and must be 18 years old or older in order to play.

The tournament style is four-person team play, double elimination, normal scoring. USTA Rankings and/or ALTA levels will be verified and play will be at the highest level on each team. Awards will be given to the top two men’s teams and the top two women’s teams. For those who are unable to play in the tournament, but still want to support KCAF, you can register as a Phantom Player for just $35 per person and receive a commemorative t-shirt at the tournament.

To register for the tennis tournament and as a Phantom Player, please visit: www.kimatkins.net.

The KCAF is dedicated to promoting prevention and breast health awareness through regular screenings, mammograms, and breast self-exams. In addition, KCAF operates Kim’s Closet at Rockdale Medical Center. Kim’s Closet is a place where women battling breast cancer, and other cancers, can go and obtain wigs, scarves, hats and other care items free of charge to help them as they are undergoing cancer treatments. The Closet is particularly designed for women with no health insurance or for those whose insurance does not cover wigs.
