There is still time to register for the 11th Annual Kim Atkins Memorial Tennis Tournament. This year’s event is scheduled for August 26, 27 and 28 and features a fun format allowing players to register as individuals instead of teams. Register today at www.kimatkins.net.

On Friday, August 26, there will be an Individual Mixed Doubles Round Robin from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Four Seasons Racquet Club in Snellville for players ages 18 and older. The cost is just $35 per player. All Friday night players receive a t-shirt and are guaranteed at least four rounds of tennis. Play as many games as you can in 20 minutes; NoAd scoring. Prizes will be awarded to the male and female with the most games won. (Registration is limited to the first 40 players.)

Players 18 and older can play on Saturday, August 27 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. AND Sunday, August 28 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Summit Chase Country Club in Snellville. The cost is just $50 per player. Registered players will be placed in a team for a Four-Person Men’s/Women’s Team Tournament. The format is an 8-game pro set, NoAd scoring. Prizes will be awarded to the male and female with the most games won. (Registration is limited to 96 players.) All players will receive a t-shirt.

The Kimberley Chance Atkins Foundation (KCAF) is dedicated to promoting prevention and breast health awareness through regular screenings, mammograms, and breast self-exams.  In addition, KCAF operates Kim’s Closet at Rockdale Medical Center.  Kim’s Closet is a place where women battling breast cancer, and other cancers, can go and obtain wigs, scarves, hats and other care items free of charge to help them as they are undergoing cancer treatments.
