ROCKDALE WORKS! is a group of classes that are designed to help you become more employable by earning WORK KEYS, OSHA, and LIFT TRUCK certifications. In addition, classes will include Total Quality Management, Total Productive Maintenance, Just-In-Time, Employee Involvement, SOFTS SKILLS such as: Diversity and Connecting Generations,

Professional Ethics and Etiquette….and MUCH MORE! The classes will be taught through
the Continuing Education Department of Georgia Piedmont Technical College.

Classes will be held at:
Rockdale County Government Annex (former Maxell Building)
1400 Parker Road Conyers, GA 30094

THE GOAL:

The program is designed for individuals who are currently unemployed, and provide additional job skills through the certification course. Participants will receive foundational skills that contribute to workplace success. Successful completers are awarded certifications in National Safety Council Lift Truck, OSHA 10-Hour and Work Keys. At the end of the course, the goal is to have manufacturing employers interview the program completers for possible position openings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Resident of Rockdale County
• Currently unemployed
• Currently have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Actively seeking employment, AND available for employment
• Interest in Manufacturing
• AVAILABLE for classes for the ENTIRE 4 weeks, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• (Attendance is mandatory!!)
