Rockdale County Republican Party Recognizes Transfer of Power and Stands Committed

By eMetro Times | on January 21, 2024 | 0 Comment
eMetro News Featured Rockdale

Constitution-flagFriday, January 20, 2024 marked a historic day in our great nation. The 45th president of the United States was sworn in and America and the world now recognize President Donald Trump. The Rockdale County Republican Party celebrates this occasion, not as a change in power, nor a change in political party, but because they witnessed, as they do every four years, an election process as directed by our constitution.

“Today’s ceremony, however has very special meaning. Because today, we are not merely transferring power from one administration to another or from one party to another. But we are transferring power from Washington D.C. and giving it back to you… the people. For too long a small group in our nation’s capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have born the cost. Washington flourished but the people did not share in its wealth. Politicians prospered but the jobs left and the factories closed. The establishment protected itself but not the citizens of our country. Their victories have not been your victories. Their triumphs have not been your triumphs and while they celebrated in our nation’s capital, there was little to celebrate for struggling families all across our land. That all changes starting right here and right now because this moment is your moment. It belongs to you.” President Donald Trump, January 20, 2024.

The Rockdale County Republican Party stands committed and shares this same perspective. The President, regardless of political party affiliation represents all the citizens of this great nation.  As Republicans, they believe strongly in equality for all citizens, regardless of divisive rhetoric or differences that make individuals unique.

The Rockdale County Republican Party will continue to work with the elected officials, at all levels, regardless of political party, to bring forth common sense solutions for all citizens. They stand with their fellow citizens, regardless of race, religion, political affiliation, or any other trait that would be used to divide us. They stand committed to constitutional conservative principles of lower tax burdens, limited government overreach into our lives, and more freedom and opportunities for all citizens. They will fight with and for the citizens and hold their elected officials accountable.

They invite fellow citizens to engage with the Rockdale Republicans, learn more about their platform, their goals for 2024, and most importantly for people to be involved and empowered in the communities that they are blessed to call home. All citizens are invited to join them at their next monthly meeting to be held on February 2, beginning at 6:30. The meeting will be in the meeting room at Amici’s in Conyers

They will be joined by Alex Johnson and Debbie McCord who are seeking our support as they run for the offices of Chairman and Vice-Chair of the Georgia Republican Party. They will also discuss the upcoming mass-precinct meeting, the heart and soul of citizens engaging and influencing the Republican Party and their local elected officials. They expect a large turnout and citizen participation as they engage and help bring the power back to the ones that it belongs to – the People.

As they welcome in a new President, they extend their best wishes to Former President Obama, his family, and thank them for their service and sacrifices over these last eight years.
