Rockdale County Government, the Conyers Rockdale Council for the Arts (CRCA), and the Conyers Rockdale Economic Development Council Film Office have partnered to bring a film workshop to the community on Sat., June 24 from 10 a.m.-1p.m. in the Black Box Theater at 910 Center St., Conyers, 30012.
At this free promotional, educational and informational event, participants will learn about the $50 million impact the film industry has made in Rockdale, gain a general understanding of the film production industry in the community and Georgia as a whole, and how to become involved in the industry. Although this is an open registration event, seating is limited. Doors open at 10 a.m., registration closes at 10:30 a.m.
During the Film Workshop, instructors and key members of the Rockdale Film Community will share tips and tricks for how actors can get involved in the film industry, including how to create and organize a portfolio as well as how to become an extra for various shows and movies in the area.
With the economic impact of the film industry going far beyond actors, this film workshop will also offer information about how those seeking roles behind the scenes can get involved. Some of these areas include crew members, catering, hospitality, production teams and real estate, among several more.
