Deborah P. Armstrong, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rockdale Medical Center, has been named a top influential healthcare figure in the Atlanta area by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

Each quarter, the Atlanta Business Chronicle releases the Healthcare Who’s Who, a list of healthcare faces and names to know in the Atlanta area. Armstrong was recognized for the depth of her career in the healthcare industry, as well as her outstanding leadership during her tenure at Rockdale.

Armstrong has more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including directorships at Georgia Baptist Medical Center, Atlanta Medical Center and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Armstrong joined Rockdale Medical Center in 2001 and was appointed CEO in February of 2011. Under Armstrong’s leadership, Rockdale Medical Center has obtained Primary Stroke Certification, Chest Pain Accreditation, and in 2015, launched a Percutaneous Coronary Interventions-PCI program in partnership with Piedmont Heart Institute.
