The Rockdale County Public Schools (RCPS) Foundation will recognize the three recipients of its 2016 Champions of Education award during a gala at the Acuity People Center in Conyers on Saturday, April 23 at 6 p.m.
“We extend an invitation to the entire community to come out and celebrate these Champions of Education—individuals and businesses that for years have shown strong support of Rockdale’s public schools through service, support and advocacy,” said Scott Hartsell, Foundation board member.
Since 1988, the RCPS Foundation has provided more than $450,000 in funding for teacher grants and student achievement initiatives. The tax-exempt, nonprofit works in close partnership with the school system and is governed by a Board of Trustees.
