The Thanksgiving spirit is alive and well with Rockdale Chairman-elect Oz Nesbitt’s Senior Citizens Thanksgiving Turkey Drive. Nesbitt is offering to assist Rockdale County seniors with their holiday meal by giving at least 200 turkeys to senior citizens.

Volunteers brought frozen turkeys to Courtesy Ford in Conyers to help with Nesbitt’s giveaway so area families can have a traditional dinner.

“I am so thankful to all who donated turkeys to help the older members of our community,” said Nesbitt.

The turkeys will be distributed at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 20th at the Olivia Haydel Senior Center, 1240 Dogwood Drive.
