The Newton College and Career Academy (NCCA) will host an Open House on Thursday, February 2, 2023, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for students interested in attending the Academy next year. Students in grades 9-11 and their parents are invited to attend the Open House to learn more about the exciting opportunities available at NCCA.
From collegiate level Advanced Placement courses and Move on When Ready courses to career pathway tracks that can lead to certification in a number of professional fields, the sky’s the limit for NCCA students.
“Our mission is to enhance academic achievement and provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in postsecondary education and the work force,” said Chad Walker, principal and CEO of NCCA. “We encourage students and parents to attend our Open House to see for themselves the incredible opportunities available at the Career Academy.”
According to Walker, students and parents will have the chance to tour the campus, speak with trainers, and attend information sessions at the Open House. Faculty and staff will be on hand to answer any questions attendees might have and computer labs will be open for students who wish to complete the online application on site. The application will also be available on the school system and NCCA website on February 2nd, for those who cannot attend the Open House. Parents or students with questions should call NCCA at 678-625-6769.
