On Wednesday, July 27, 2016, the New-Roc Charter Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) installed new officers during its monthly lunchtime meeting. The new officers installed were Roshon Thomas, President; Angela Walker, Vice President; Renee’ Crayton, Secretary; and Kim Johnson, Treasurer. Reva Johnson, Chairman of the Atlanta Area Council of ABWA, performed the installation of officers. The new officers assumed their duties on August 1, 2016 for a one-year term.
This year the league is once again positioned to grow in membership. One factor for growth is their monthly meetings, which offer networking and a business- and/or marketing-related program. They also are planning a holiday party, a fundraising event, scholarship opportunities and more.
New-Roc Charter Chapter meets monthly on the fourth Wednesday from January through November. The next regular monthly meeting is set for Wednesday, August 24th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 pm. The meeting is open to the public and takes place at Jim N’ Nicks on GA Hwy 20. There is no fee for the meeting but attendees are asked to purchase lunch and will be responsible for their own luncheon order.
Join New-Roc Charter Chapter as they pursue ABWA’s mission to bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support, and national recognition.
