Mutts & More Filling A Community Need

ArchieLori Todd, the founder and director of Mutts & More, has been rescuing animals for 30 years. Lori left a teaching career to rescue full time, working specifically with puppies and handicapped animals to fill a need in these two areas. Her puppies mainly come from Newton and Rockdale counties. Feeling the need to help those in her community she also goes into schools and conducts bite prevention classes.

“Spaying and neutering would greatly reduce the population of unwanted animals. It is not the fault of animal control when an animal is euthanized. Irresponsible pet ownership is the number one cause of this,” said Lori Todd.

All rescues and animal controls would like to encourage pet owners to microchip their pets. This would enable them to quickly locate owners in the event an animal shows up at one of their facilities. Lost dogs may also be listed on lostdogsofgeorgia.com.

Archie came to Mutts & More, Inc. from Rockdale County Animal Care and Control. He was  found wandering a busy street. This sweet boy is about 3 months old and fully vetted. He is  good with other dogs, kids and cats. The adoption fee is $200.00. This fee includes neuter, rabies, age appropriate vaccines, deworming, flea meds and microchip. Please contact [email protected] if you are interested in adopting Archie.
