Darton College Cavalier baseball player and Piedmont Academy alumnus Class of 2015, Michael Davis played Gulf Coast Community College located in Panama City, Florida to kick off their 2016 season. #31 Davis came in as the relief pitcher in the 9th inning of their 4th game. He went on to pitch three shut-out innings (9th, 10th, and 11th) to capture his first collegiate win and the team’s first win of the season. A solo home run in the top of the 11th inning gave Darton the lead. Davis pitched three up and three down in the bottom of 11th to secure the win. The final score was 3-2. Davis was honored when he received the game ball. Darton College is located in Albany, Georgia.
