The Humane Society of Morgan County (HSMC) is excited to announce their famous $10,000 raffle is back! Who couldn’t use a little extra change in their pocket this upcoming holiday season? Well now is your chance to win $10,000. For a donation of $100, individuals will be entered into the drawing. Only 200 tickets will be sold so it’s first come, first served. Bill Kurtz, HSMC treasurer, says “It’s a win win situation for everyone! We are able to raise much needed funds for the center and one lucky person in the community will be $10,000 richer.” The winner will be drawn by Santa himself during our annual Bow Wow Breakfast on Black Friday, November 28, 2014 (you do not need to be present to win).
The Bow Wow Breakfast will take place at the Lions Club building located at 1240 Lions Club Road, beginning at 8am until 11:30 am. Betty Straw Brown, HSMC board president, says, “The Bow Wow Breakfast is an important event for us. This event helps us raise money to provide special care for animals that come to us injured or sick. There are some wonderful adoptable animals we can rescue with funds to provide that little extra medical care.” HSMC board members, volunteers and staff will serve delicious stacks of pancakes with a choice of bacon or sausage , coffee and juice. Tickets are only $10 for adults, $5 for children under twelve, and children under five are FREE! There will be a silent auction area with various items up for bidding just in time for the gift giving season. Bring your children and furbabies for pictures with Santa for only $5 plus you won’t have to wait in those long mall lines to give Santa your wish list!

About the Humane Society of Morgan County: HSMC was founded in 1994 with the adoption center opening in July 2011. The center houses on average 25-30 dogs and 20-25 cats. These animals are rescued from animal control from Morgan and surrounding counties. All animals are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and micro-chipped before being put up for adoption. The center has placed more than 6,000 cats and dogs with their furever families. HSMC would like to remind you to spay or neuter your pet.
