Courtesy Ford invites you to take a test drive and help to raise funds for local children with muscular disorders. On Saturday, February 18th, every test drive will help raise money for a child diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy and related diseases to go to MDA Summer Camp. During the event, there will be fun for the entire family with free food, bounce houses, and entertainment. Mr. Pig of Piggly Wiggly will also be present.
The goal of the event is to raise $4,000 to send two children to MDA Summer Camp this year. For every $2,000, one child diagnosed with muscular dystrophy or a related disease can experience the camp with their family at no cost.
Since 1955, MDA has been providing summer camps with awesome adventures, entertainment, and activities that help children with muscular disorders learn valuable life skills. The camp is geared toward helping children from ages 6 to 17 years old. The local summer camp takes place at Camp Twin Lakes in Rutledge in July and prepares the children to advocate for their needs, become independent, and live a life without limitations. In 2016, 95 children attended the local summer camp and MDA is looking to send 110 children in 2023.
For many years now, Piggly Wiggly has been raising money to send children to MDA summer camp. The Piggly Wiggly location on West Avenue in Conyers will continue to raise funds throughout the month of February by offering specials on baked goods and other food items. With the addition of the test drive event, this year Courtesy Ford and Piggly Wiggly have joined forces to raise money to a whole new level!
Courtesy Ford is proud to support MDA as a charity of choice during their February test drive event. They are committed to helping strengthen the community through volunteering and giving. You are invited to join them in helping to send two children to MDA Summer Camp to live a life unlimited.
Take a test drive on February 18, 2023, from 11am-3pm at Courtesy Ford, located at 1636 Dogwood Dr, SE in Conyers, Georgia. For more information about Courtesy Ford, visit their website at www.courtesyatlanta.com. For more information about the MDA Summer Camp, visit www.mda.org.
