Conyers, GA – The Georgia Department of Education released the list of Reward Schools, which is part of the state’s waiver from the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. Barksdale Elementary and Lorraine Elementary are listed as “Highest Performing” schools and C. J. Hicks Elementary and Flat Shoals Elementary are listed as a “Highest Progress” schools.
“I am extremely proud of our Reward Schools,” says Superintendent Richard Autry. “Our students and teachers have worked hard to maintain high performance and continuous improvement over time. These schools exemplify our commitment to excellence and to the academic and personal growth of each student. We must also recognize our administrators, support staff and parents who play an essential role in supporting teaching and learning and the educational success of all children.”
Highest Performing Reward Schools: Barksdale Elementary and Lorraine Elementary 5% of Title I schools. Highest 3-year average Content Mastery category performances (CCRPI). Must not be identified as a Priority or Focus School Highest Progress Reward Schools: C.J. Hicks Elementary and Flat Shoals Elementary 10% of Title I schools Highest 3-year average Progress scores (CCRPI). Must not be identified as a Priority or Focus School Must not be identified as a Highest Performing School.
