What a Football Season!

What a football season! The Jackets finished the season with wins over Clemson, University of Georgia, and Mississippi State, and came within an eyelash of beating Florida State University for the ACC Championship.

That’s two Southeastern Conference (SEC) teams, a top 10 defense, and a top 5 team that took a beating from Paul Johnson’s high school offense. It’s a beautiful thing when run correctly.

My family and I went to the Orange Bowl. My son and daughter were able to meet the players and coaches and get autographs. Then we started partying midway through the third quarter when the game was well in hand against a former #1 and SEC team. Needless to say, my kids are hooked and Tech fans for life.

And what about that vaunted SEC. Three teams took their whipping on the final Saturday of the season from ACC rivals, and then the SEC West tucked their tails in the bowl games.

And yes, most of these Jackets will be back next year along with Johnson’s best recruiting class yet. The scales have certainly flipped in this state! It’s going to be a great 2015!
