Strategic Plan Survey Covers Several Important, Timely Topics

As Rockdale County’s strategic planning process continues, the Board of Commissioners (BOC) invites citizens and businesses to provide feedback about the future of the County by completing a survey about important, timely topics that affect them.

The survey is designed to assist the BOC in developing a strategic plan that will mirror the needs and desires of citizens, businesses and Rockdale stakeholders. The survey will focus on key issues such as health and public safety, infrastructure, economic development, parks and natural resources, and civic involvement.

Residents and business owners who choose to provide their contact information at the end of the survey will be entered into a drawing to win a $50 gift card once the survey process concludes March 14.

“This survey is an important step in providing an opportunity for the community to share their valuable insight as part of this process,” Post 2 Commissioner Doreen Williams said.

“We encourage residents and the business community to take 15-20 minutes to thoughtfully respond to this survey to help guide Rockdale County through the next decade and further.”

The survey, which runs through March 14, will be available to complete online at www.rockdalecountyga.gov or in hard copy at the following locations:

Last year, the BOC started a strategic planning process to create a roadmap outlining the goals and direction for Rockdale County over the next 5 – 15 years.

The Atlanta Regional Commission is helping guide this process to assist Rockdale County in determining its future needs and distinguishing itself from the metropolitan Atlanta region.

Again, the deadline to complete the survey is March 14.
