North Georgia Live Steamers will begin its 2015 public run schedule on Saturday, April 18, 2015, 1:00 – 4:30 p.m.

The track is located near the steeple chase grounds at 1632 Centennial Olympic Parkway (across from Hawthorn Suites) near the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers, Ga.

The Conyers & Hightower Trail Railroad is a 7 ½ gauge miniature railroad featuring trains you can ride on, pulled by steam and diesel locomotives.

Since opening to the public in the fall of 2013, several thousands have ridden the railroad. The 7,200 foot miniature railroad is the product of over 6 years of volunteer labor by the members of NGLS. Public restroom facilities were added during the fall of 2014.

In 2015 the railroad will be open for public rides on: April 18; May 9; June 6; July 11; August 15 and October 24.

Trains will begin operation at 1 pm. The last train will run at 4:30 pm. Run days may be canceled for inclement weather. Please check www.northgeorgialivesteamers.org for information and directions.

To satisfy insurance requirements, anyone that rides the railroad will have to sign a release. NGLS is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of railroad education and history. Donations are tax deductible. Because of insurance and operating costs it is necessary to charge $2.00 for each ride on the railroad.
