Over the last 18 years, Dr. Boscher and everyone at Conyers Family Chiropractic Center (CFCC) has understood the need and necessity for Project Renewal, a local non-profit organization that fights domestic violence. Every year, CFCC picks a day and invites their patients to come and help the victims of domestic violence by donating an item that the shelter needs in return for a free adjustment. This year the day is February 11, 2016 to make an appointment and bring items.
- Monetary donations
- Gift cards for gas and merchandise
- Furniture
- Clothing for women and children
- Food items
- Baby diapers
- Baby wipes
- Toilet paper
- Napkins
- Blankets
- Toiletry items
- Small clocks
- New undergarments
- Socks
- Laundry detergent
- Cleaning supplies
The strategy in this is a win-win for all involved! CFCC offers their chiropractic services in exchange for much needed supplies to donate to project renewal, and the patients get a day of free health care for donating to a local charity.
Project Renewal is a Domestic Violence Intervention Program changing lives in Rockdale, Newton, and Walton Counties. The staff and volunteers help remove victims and their families from abusive situations and help the victim get back on their feet. Unfortunately, the need for this service has only grown. Project Renewal has provided over 41,000 individual services to families in crisis in 2014 alone! This shelter educates the community, has handled thousands of calls, and is there for those in need around the clock. We in Conyers are blessed to have such a wonderful resource.
New and existing patients should call CFCC at 770-922-8187 to set up an appointment for Thursday, February 11th. New patients will receive a free exam and existing patients will receive a free adjustment by bringing in an item from the list of supplies needed. This is a great opportunity to help yourself and to help others all in one day! Don’t wait to call, appointment times are limited and will fill up quickly!
