Communities Unite to Prevent Child Abuse

By eMetro Times | on September 1, 2015 | 0 Comment
eMetro News Featured Rockdale

drive4hopeAt the first annual Drive 4 Hope Event, Rockdale and Newton Counties joined forces to benefit Prevent Child Abuse Rockdale, an organization dedicated to helping children and families in Rockdale, Newton, and surrounding counties.

Prevent Child Abuse Rockdale is a chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America which champions great childhoods for all children in Rockdale, Newton, and surrounding areas. PCAR works to promote the healthy development of our children and prevent child abuse before it can occur and ensuring that their home is free from neglect.

The event was sponsored by businesses from both counties and was attended by families from surrounding areas. Rockdale County Sheriff, Eric Levett kicked off the event by participating in the dunking booth.

drive4hope-51“Prevent Child Abuse Rockdale is extremely blessed to have the support of such an amazing group of people,” says Katie Beam, Community Outreach Director.

With successful fundraising events like the Drive 4 Hope Event and their spring fundraising event, Prevent Child Abuse Rockdale has raised over $45,000 in match dollars.

drive4hope-128“The key sponsor for our Fall Fundraising Campaign, High Priority Plumbing has kickstarted such incredible support from other local companies. We’re so excited to announce that local business owner Carl Anuczyk has agreed to become PCAR’s 2015 benefactor by donating $26,000,” says Beam.

Prevent Child Abuse Rockdale is a non-profit organization established in 1989 dedicated to ensuring that all children are raised in a safe, loving, nurturing home free from all forms of abuse and neglect.
