A free job fair at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5290 in Conyers gave job seekers a chance to meet potential employers face-to-face in one location. With resumes in hand, those eager to work came out on Wednesday, May 11th to find local employment opportunities. The event attracted job seekers of all ages and education levels.
Several companies participated, offering positions ranging from entry-level to professional. These events regularly draw over a thousand job seekers and have put hundreds of Rockdale County residents back to work.
“This is our fifth community job fair,” said Nesbitt. “Employers from around Rockdale County have been very supportive of the event.”
The job fair was organized by Thomas Chastain Jr., Rockdale Jobs Group, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Commissioner Nesbitt.
