The Rockdale Young Professional Leaders (RYPL) are excited to welcome a new board chair. RYPL board members elected Macrae Brennan-Fuller to serve as their new board chair on February 28. Brennan-Fuller replaces founding RYPL board member and chair Marcie Howington.
“I am honored to serve as RYPL’s new board chair and look forward to working collaboratively with the other board members and the Chamber to connect young professionals with the tools and opportunities they are seeking to grow and thrive in the community,” Brennan-Fuller said. “Marcie has done an excellent job leading our organization since its inception. I hope to carry on the legacy she started here in Rockdale. She will be missed.”
A program of the Conyers-Rockdale Chamber of Commerce, RYPL provides to young professionals (ages 21-40) who live, work or have an interest in Conyers-Rockdale opportunities for professional development, leadership training and community service. RYPL also hosts Third Thursday professional development sessions each month at noon at Amici’s in Conyers in addition to after-hours networking events throughout the year.
As the new board chair, she will join the other RYPL members in encouraging and promoting membership recruitment and creating and cultivating future leaders.
Brennan-Fuller, who serves as Rockdale County Government’s Public Affairs Specialist and the Staff Liaison to Keep Conyers-Rockdale Beautiful, most recently served as RYPL’s vice co-chair of public relations.
A graduate of the Leadership Rockdale Class of 2015, she also served as the vice co-chair of public relations for the class’ Legacy Project. Additionally, Brennan-Fuller worked in partnership with her classmates to develop the Rockdale Community Wish List, which connects people with small scale service projects in the Conyers-Rockdale community.
