Owners of Sugar Bakers Bakery in Olde Town, Linda Rider & Phyllis Brown, have seen an increase in sales due to the filming of The Originals this summer. “The actors and crew stop in often to purchase goodies” said Linda. “We even baked the cake used on the show for Klaus’s 200th birthday.” “Tourists from all over a coming to Olde Town and pumping much needed dollars into the local economy” said Phyllis.
Tourists from all over the world have been flocking to Olde Town Conyers and it’s all because of Vampires! The Originals, a spin-off from the popular TV series Vampire Diaries has been filming in Conyers for several months. Olde Town has been converted into the French Quarter of New Orleans. The Originals will follow Klaus (Joseph Morgan), who returns to the supernatural melting pot that is the French Quarter of New Orleans, a town he helped build centuries ago, and is reunited with his diabolical former protege Marcel (The Game’s Charles Michael Davis). Claire Holt will also reprise her role as original vamp Rebekah, Klaus’ half sister. Other familiar faces will include Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and werewolf Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin). Daniella Pineda and Danielle Campbell have also joined the cast as witches, while Leah Pipes will play Camille, a human unaware of the supernatural universe that exists around her. The series is broadcast on Thurdays, 9:00 pm on the CW Network.
