I must confess, 2015 was a great year of golf for me. I’ll explain later. I guess Jason Day would agree after winning the 97th PGA Championship. I would have cried, too. I bet he’s not the only one who would agree 2015 was a prosperous year. Look at a few of these notable players’ earnings:
- Jordan Spieth – $12,030,465
- Jason Day – $9,403,330
- Bubba Watson – $6,876,797
- Rickie Fowler – $ 5,773,430
- Henrik Stenson – $4,755,070
In case you are wondering, Phil Mickelson made $2,154,200 and Tiger Woods made $448,558. I’m sure neither one of these guys would say 2015 was a banner year. I know you feel sorry for both of these guys. Me too. Not!
I do feel a little sorry for Tim Herron. He was last on Money List at $21,342.00. I can’t imagine the pressure these guys are under if you are trying to feed your family playing this game. I assure you, my family would be starving.
I did have a pretty good year. Here is a few of my notables:
- Made two golf trips with my buddies – Brasstown Valley (spring) and Maggie Valley (fall).
- Took a jet over to Augusta for Wednesday’s Par 3 Tournament. (Bragging, sorry.)
- Played golf with Henrik Stenson’s caddie. Yes, I won! (There I go again.)
- I always try to break 70. I never did, but I did shoot 32 on a couple of different 9 holes. One was when I was walking and carrying my own bag. Go figure.
- Took Dan’s money in the last round of 2015. Yeah, baby!
Here are a few goals I would like to achieve in 2016:
- Play more golf with my dad.
- Take more of Dan’s money.
- Walk more.
- Break 70 more than once.
- Play more golf with my dad.
Till next tee time!
