Robert's birth certificate was filed as a delayed birth in the Ellis County Records in Volume 51DB at Page 161.
Robert & his brother, Roy Luther, invented a tractor (their attorney was John M. Spellman) that was supposedly registered with the patent office. Further investigation underway for more details. However, the tractor was not produced (other than the original prototype, which isn't believed to still exist). I have copies of the original plans.
Robert became a lawyer. He never married and had no children. He is buried with his family members. There is a memorial stone next to his grave that says "BABE".

Spelled "Read" in the family bible. His headstone refers to "Co. A, 18th Texas Infantry CSA" (Confederate emblem). There is also a footmarker that reads "Frankland Roark". He also has a DRT marker.
