RUNNING QUOTE:............ Level-pace running is the best way to run most races. However, level-pace does not mean level effort. It means increased effort as the race progresses..............

The Who and Why of CC
Who runs Cross-Country at Maloney? Boys and Girls like you, with a desire to run and be part of a winning tradition. This tradition had been part of the Maloney Cross Country program since 1959. Run for personal satisfaction, use it as a weight lose program, use it to improve your athletic strength, agility, and speed for other sports, or just run for fun.

Running will help you:
* Become fitter.
* Improve your performance for other sports such as baseball, basketball, softball, wrestling, track, tennis, golf, volleyball, and basically any physical type sport.
* Be successful.
* Develop a good self image and gain confidence.
* Become part of a family and a team where your teammates care about you and depend on you.

Message from the Coach
Every athlete in our program will experience success if he/she trains diligently and follows the program. There will be setbacks, but this is a sport of positives. What other sports can guarantee, through health and hard work, that every athlete, regardless of ability, will be certain to improve? You will not only improve your race time, you will improve your self-image when you experience the completion of a tough workout or by competing in a long run. You will feel good about yourself and will adapt physically, and you will know that you are healthier.
