Dennis's History of Christianity Pages
The history of Christianity is both interesting and compelling. The power of this particular belief system has had a commanding hold on western history, and strongly influenced even other belief systems. Its growth from a small, underground "mystery religion," into a religion that controlled the western world for centuries, is itself quite mysterious.
These articles cover the growth of Christianity, from its earliest origins (that we know of) through the Middle Ages. I'll leave post-medieval Christian history to others more competent in modern history. Comments on these are always welcome, you may email me at
