Darnel Quick Recovery Sets Goals in Support of Education

Darnel Quick Recovery (Darnel) has been providing debt collection services in Covington since 1974. Over the last several years, they have experienced exponential growth and want to give back to the community with a focus on education. Their goals are to help solve collection issues, to increase reliability in collections that help to strengthen businesses and the economy, and to improve trust, integrity and respect within the community.

Darnel recognizes the importance of being good stewards in education of both businesses and consumers. They plan to collaborate with the Covington-Newton County Chamber by providing seminars to increase awareness about third party collections. One way in which Darnel plans to educate consumers is by providing seminars on “How to Handle a Collection Agency”. For businesses, they are planning to provide seminars on “How to Effectively Handle Past Due Accounts”.

According to Scott Autry, Vice President of Operations at Darnel, “We see many businesses that have a ‘hole in their boat’ because of delinquent accounts with aging receivables. They benefit significantly from education. And when they can get a handle on their receivables, it is not only putting money into their pockets but also putting money back into the economy.”

Businesses are built on the premise that consumers will pay what is owed. Their success is directly impacted by their ability to collect for goods and services that have been provided. Based on a survey conducted by Ernst & Young in the Spring of 2014, $55.2 billion were recovered by third party debt collectors. These collection efforts directly affected industries and improved the economy.

Collections are vital to our community’s economic health. When a business has well managed receivables, they can keep costs down. For example, they are better able to manage overhead expenses that help keep costs for their products and services down. They can also better negotiate healthcare and other benefits for employees.

As a third party debt collector, Darnel has earned a stellar reputation among their peers. That reputation is based on their commitment to provide quality and value. They are committed to encouraging independent thinking and innovation, instilling dignity and pride, increasing communication and accountability that builds trust, promoting goodwill and helping people solve their financial problems.
