About the Association

Connecticut Association of Physics Teachers (CAPT) was started in 1986, in cooperation with the Project to Increase Mastery of Mathematics and Science (PIMMS), to provide an opportunity for physics teachers throughout the state to network with each other. The organization provides two large institutes with world famous presenters, regional workshops given by area experts and teachers, a bimonthly newsletter, an amusement park physics day, dinner/lectures, as well as numerous other opportunities for members.
