BBbyT Travel is hosting a trip to see the highlights of Greece. This popular eight night Greek island vacation includes an amazing tour of Athens, Mykonos and Santorini.

Day 1

We will take a tour in the Athenian Riviera to admire the beauty and the hotels of the area. Enjoy your afternoon by strolling along the Plaka and narrow streets, which are full of traditional restaurants where you can taste typical dishes of Greek cuisine and the famous drink “ouzo”.

Day 2

Visit the site of Acropolis and panoramic tour of the area. You can admire the different contrasts offered to Athens visitors. Discover the center of the city, Constitution Square (Syntagma), the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Parliament and neoclassical buildings, Avenue Venizelos (the Academy, the University and the National Library). On the way to the Acropolis you will see the Hadrian’s Arch, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, and then you will see the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of our time were held in 1896 (short stop). In the Acropolis you can admire the masterpieces of the golden age of Athens, the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike and finally “the harmony between spirit and matter”, the Parthenon. Then, you will visit the impressive sculptures which adorned the temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion (with Caryatids) and of course the Parthenon.

Day 3

Early morning transfer to the port of Athens (Piraeus) to board the ferry to the island of Mykonos. Spend a day at leisure in Mykonos to enjoy this unique island. Mykonos Island is a wonderful kaleidoscope of cosmopolitan shops, rocking bars, quaint windmills, great beaches, homey taverns and hidden churches all set against a brilliant blue backdrop.

Day 4

The day is at leisure for you to continue enjoying the beautiful island of Mykonos. It’s not just the water that sparkles in the sun of Mykonos, but also the marble streets and beautiful white cubist buildings that characterize the island’s architecture.

Day 5

Taking a ferry to Santorini, the evening is free to enjoy the breathtaking view of the caldera. Santorini is the most spectacular of the isles in the Cyclades. With its brilliant flooded caldera, high cliffs and charming villages, it is the Greek Isle of everyone’s dreams.

Day 6-7

Spend the day at leisure to enjoy the sun, the unforgettable view and the most romantic sunset in the world. Santorini is the essence of a Greek island, where sea meets weather-beaten rock and colors are bold and elemental. Blue-domed chapels stand on hilltops; houses are simple white cubes and sunsets are flamboyant orange. The half-moon island, with its rearing cliffs and dramatic outlooks, is all that remains of a huge volcanic explosion. Inland, fertile soils provide a softer landscape of silvery olive trees, fields of tomatoes and neatly pegged vineyards that produce sweet amber-colored wine.
