CSU’s Dr. Richard Bell will conduct program of classical favorites and Michael Jackson medley
The Southern Crescent Symphony Orchestra will present a free family concert at Clayton State University’s (CSU’s) Spivey Hall on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at 3:00 p.m.
“Music Moves Us!” is designed to show how music moves us both physically and emotionally, and is appropriate for families and children of all ages. The program will be conducted by CSU’s Dr. Richard Bell, assistant professor of music, and will include works by Hector Berlioz, Edward Elgar, Felix Mendelssohn and Antonio Vivaldi, along with a medley of Michael Jackson hits.
Prior to the concert there will be an instrument “petting zoo” in the lobby so children can try out instruments and meet the musicians.
Admission to this Southern Crescent Symphony Orchestra performance is free, with no tickets required.
