Principal Challenges Students with Reading Goal
In an effort to encourage reading, South Salem Elementary School principal Terran Newman recently challenged students to reach a daily point reading goal on Accelerated Reader of 250 points for the school. Students participated in reading activities all day and exceeded the goal by earning over 1,200 points! By exceeding the principal’s goal, the top point reader in each class got to duct tape Principal Newman to the wall. Way to go South Salem Spartans! Hopefully someone remembered to untape Ms. Newman from the wall.
