The 2015 Snapping Shoals Bright Ideas Grant award winners were celebrated at a special breakfast this morning. Each year, Snapping Shoals EMC partners with RCPS to award a total of $15,000 (from SSEMC unclaimed capital credits) to district staff for special projects. Year 8 of this program brought in 62 grant proposals requesting more than $87,000. While many high quality projects were submitted, funds allowed thirteen to be awarded funding. Projects were very diverse ranging from 3D printing to theater to mentoring, science, reading and music.
