For most of us, ladies for sure, having our hair done is basically a religious experience. Your hair stylist is right up at the top of the ladder as one of the most important people in your life. I have mentioned my hairdresser Carolyn before; she is more than my hairdresser. Carolyn is my friend, she was my mama’s friend, and more than that she is someone who I care and trust with both my heart and my hair!
Carolyn’s shop, Creative Hair, is my Zen, my comfort, and frankly a little slice of heaven. She has had some of the same clients since she started the business almost (or maybe) as long as 40 years ago. I use the term clients but the reality is they are friends or more importantly family. The beauty of Carolyn’s shop (get it) in itself is a family. You see both her daughter and granddaughter work with her so one day, Heaven forbid, when Carolyn is not here her legacy will be.
Tracy and I grew up together and she is as special to me as her sweet mama. And then there is Ali! Ali has talent, compassion, heart, and soul far beyond her years while at the same time being hip and new. Ali is a treasure. Ali brings youth and energy to the little salon. She is smart as a whip and we are lucky to have her talent in our little town.
Ali will be one of the industry’s leading professionals and trendsetters. She ultimately will introduce all of us to the latest in cutting, updos, blowouts, and styles. She will receive the prestigious Redken Certified Design Stylists after undergoing a lengthy, rigorous test process that she will certainly excel, because that is our Ali. In our little salon we will have the best of the best because Ali has the desire and passion that her wonderful grandmother and mother have passed down. All of us girls and a few men will always have a wonderful stylist close by.
I would suggest you visit Ali and all the great women at Creative Hair. Yes, a legacy and a place we can call home!
