Registration is open for the Phoenix Pass Frosty 5K on January 28, 2023. The 5K will kick off East Metro Atlanta’s First Annual Health & Fitness Expo at the Georgia International Horse Park. By registering now, you will be committing to starting the New Year with a healthy challenge while support a worthy cause!

The Frosty 5K is a Peachtree Qualifier and part of the 2023 Black Bag Race Series. All proceeds from the 5K will benefit Phoenix Pass, a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that provides transitional housing for women and children in Rockdale County.

Runners can register as an individual for $30 ($35 after 1/13/17), with teams of 10 or more entrants for $20 each or as a family of four for $75 ($85 after 1/13/17). No race day registration will be permitted for teams so make sure to register your team early. If you can’t make it or do not wish to run, show your support for Phoenix Pass and your favorite runner by registering as a phantom runner for $35. Register online at www.active.com.

Phantom runners who do not have a favorite runner can vote for “The Man and His Dog”. Mike and Coco will be preparing for the race and training for the Frosty 5K. Follow their progress at www.phoenixpass.org or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/Phoenix-Pass.

All pre-registered runners are guaranteed a t-shirt upon arrival on race day. Phantom runners can pick up their t-shirt at the GIHP on the day of the race or opt for Phoenix Pass to mail it to you after the race. Race day registration begins at 7 a.m. The 5K begins at 8 a.m. GIHP is located at 1996 Centennial Olympic Parkway, NE in Conyers, Georgia.

An awards ceremony will immediately follow the race. Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Overall categories for male and female runners and Masters (40 yrs+) categories for male and female runners. Top three awards will also be given for several age groups. In addition, a “Traveling Trophy” will be awarded to the team with the most entrants and a “Phantom Runner” award will be given to the runner with the most phantom votes.
