Rockdale Jobs Group will be holding their 6th Job Fair on Wednesday, October 5th from 10 am to 2 pm. The job fair is free to the public and to employers. The job fair, which will be held at 1432 VFW Dr. Conyers Ga 30012, will have over a dozen employers in attendance. Among these will be Bostiks, Astro Plastic, Southeast Sealing, Risk Management, Rockdale Sheriffs, as well as many others. Employers will have the chance to meet with Job seekers, let them fill out applications and some may even doing on the spot interviews.

Job seekers wanting to attend are encouraged to arrive as early as possible. Employers will be able to leave after they fill the spots needed, even if it is before the event ends. Resumes are not required but are strongly encouraged to increase chances of employment. Additionally, job seekers are asked to wear professional attire and behave in a professional manner.

Employers can participate for free by visiting www.chastainforrockdale.com/events.html and registering. Employers will be given 1 table and 4 chairs to use during the event. As well, employers will be given access to Wifi and a private area to use for interviews. Lunches and drinks will also be available for purchase during the event through The VFW Bar and Grill. Employers who attend will need to arrive to set up no later than 9:20 am.

Rockdale Jobs Group is a voluntary group of Rockdale residents who work to organize job fairs and job training programs which help residents in our community get back to work. The group, which is run and was founded by Rockdale Commissioner Candidate Thomas Chastain, has been working to fulfill their mission since 2014. Since the group’s founding, Rockdale Jobs Group has been able to help over 1,500 Rockdale citizens get new forms of employment and advance their careers.
