Have you or someone you love been touched by cancer? Do you want to get more involved with your community? We are looking for volunteers that want to make a difference in the fight against cancer!
There will be a Relay For Life Kick-Off on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 open to Rockdale County.
Drop in from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at Trinity Baptist Church (301 Honey Creek Rd Conyers, GA) to learn about what Relay For Life is, what makes this event unique, where the money goes and how to become involved.
In 2015, the Relay For Life of Rockdale County brought together 25 businesses, schools, churches, and family and friends groups and hundreds of community members to make a difference in the fight against cancer. As a community we raised over $80,000 for the American Cancer Society!
You can feel proud of supporting the lifesaving mission of The American Cancer Society as, from January 1 to August 31, 2015, provided 247 patients equaling 8,292 nights of free Lodging at the Hope Lodge in Atlanta, aided with reduced cost or free hotel rooms for 1,790 nights, provided 550 wigs and 633 rides to treatment in Georgia alone.
You can volunteer at the event, our survivors lunch, help plan the event with other volunteers, become an event sponsor, or make a donation.
If you have any questions or want to volunteer, please [email protected] or go to our website: relayforlife.org/rockdalega. We are excited to make 2016 bigger and better than ever and join our forces to finish the fight against cancer!
