A National Menopause Awareness Month Event
In observance of National Menopause Awareness Month, The ProWriter’s Studio is hosting a special event to offer education and raise awareness about menopause. “Celebrating The Change” will take place on Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at Cosmic Energy Fitness Center in Northlake Mall (upper level), 4800 Briarcliff Rd. NE, Atlanta, GA 30345.
The average age a woman begins her “change of life” is 51, but it can begin as soon as her early thirties. With a decrease in hormone levels, many women experience emotional and physical changes that are difficult to control, along with an increased risk of developing health issues such as osteoporosis and heart disease.
“Celebrating The Change” will offer a variety of resources and support for women who are undertaking the journey of menopause. Participants will share their personal stories and testimonials. Expert panelists, health professionals and vendors will be on hand to discuss and provide the latest information on natural hormonal alternatives, diet and nutritional supplements and more. Additionally, there will be African dance and Zumba mini-workouts, helpful advice from beauty professionals and a menopause sensitivity workshop for men.
Celebrating “The Change” is a free event, but pre-registration is required. To pre-register or obtain more information about becoming a vendor, visit http://celebratethechange.eventbrite.com.
