Newton Laboratories (Homeopathics) has been a part of the Conyers community since the early 1980s and was officially incorporated in 1987. When Dr. Luc Chaltin started Newton Homeopathics it was in a spare room in his Conyer’s apartment. In 1992, he bought a home on Upland Trail and continued to grow his business there. Just three years later, he built a 7500 square foot facility off of Rockaway Industrial Boulevard.
Newton has since outgrown the Rockaway facility and has relocated to a 21,000 square foot facility on Gees Mill Business Court. Newton is an FDA-registered homeopathic manufacturer and sells its products through health food stores, pharmacies and clinics, as well as on their website.
Newton’s quest for quality was a driving force in moving them to a larger facility where a state-of-the-art Class 100,000 cleanroom could be built. Although not required for homeopathic manufacturing, it adds another layer of quality and safety to its products.
Marge Roberts started studying homeopathy with Dr. Chaltin in 1996 and in 2004 Dr. Chaltin passed the reigns of the company onto her. Marge is a Registered Nurse and chose to retire after 30 years of nursing to embrace this opportunity. Dr. Chaltin passed in 2008 during recovery from an accident at the age of 85. Marge continues to promote his legacy as an advocate for quality, education, natural living and natural medicine.
Homeopathy is a natural medicine which is recognized and regulated by the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act of 1938. Homeopathy is manufactured in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and the Code of Federal Regulations. Homeopathy has no known side effects, has no known drug interactions, is safe for adults, children, pets and the elderly, and is non-addictive. It is made from minute amounts from the plant, animal and mineral kingdoms. Most homeopathics are available over-the-counter, although a few are available by prescription only. Homeopathy is a mainstay in many home medicine chests with homeopathics for self-limiting conditions such as constipation, diarrhea, headache, teething and colic, joint pain and indigestion.
You will find Newton Homeopathics in most Georgia health food stores, in every state and internationally. If you are unfamiliar with homeopathy, you will find educational videos and literature at www.newtonlabs.net. The Newton facility is not open to the public but offers educational seminars, lectures and tours intermittently throughout the year. You may contact Newton at 770-922-2644 or [email protected] if you wish to be notified about upcoming events.
