Thank you to all Veterans for your great sacrifice and service to our country.
Thank you to all the family members that have sacrificed their loved ones for our freedom.
Shall we never forget the price they had to pay to make sure we are safe and protected.
In September 2012, Ivy S. Wroe took her first trip with Honor Flight of Conyers and a wonderful group of WWII Veterans. She volunteered to be a guardian for the day to accompany James W. Wood, Jr., a Veteran with the Navy.
Ivy S. Wroe said, “It was so humbling to be among the brave men and women who gave so much for me! I was moved beyond words.”
She had the honor to accompany a total of five wonderful men since that trip. Each time has been uniquely special. The others’ names were Jack King – Navy, Marion Trimmer – Navy, Phil L. Edwards – Navy and W. Alton Housworth – Marine.
She continued, “Thank you all for your service to our country and it was my great pleasure to have been in your presence to share your trip to Washington DC. God Bless you all!”
