Conyers resident and community advocate Claire Cline was honored by friends, colleagues and family during a surprise retirement party in December. Cline’s position with the United Way of Greater Atlanta as the Regional Director of Butts, Henry, and Rockdale counties, has allowed her to positively impact many lives in the area.
Cline’s work with the Rockdale Coalition for Children and Families to create the Community Resource Network is a result of the collaborative nature of her work. The Community Resource Network invites non-profit organizations in Rockdale to meet monthly to network and find ways to work together.
Every year, Claire Cline has helped to lead the Leadership Rockdale Program which is an educational, development program that provides a learning environment that enhances personal and professional growth to benefit the Rockdale community.
In 2001, she began an enrichment program, in conjunction with Clayton College & State University to help children who were having difficulties with math and language arts promote the spirit of learning. The program helped the families of these children become more involved in the learning process.
Bill Huey spoke of one of the students of Kids College recently graduating with honors from the Georgia Tech Math Program as other accolades came from friends and colleagues.
“Claire Cline has impacted lives for generations to come in Rockdale, and we are truly blessed to have her in our community,” says Michael Hutcheson of the Rockdale Coalition for Children and Families.
“2 words describe Claire Cline: Faith and Action,” says Jeff Beech.
“Claire is a true inspiration,” says Tim Baker, Edward Jones Financial Advisor.
Thank you, Claire Cline for being a true Hometown Hero, and an inspiration to the Rockdale community!
