lincoln-dinner-300x138Rockdale County Republicans will host a Lincoln-Reagan Day dinner on Tuesday, February 28, 2024 beginning at 7:00 pm at Cherokee Run Country Club located at 1595 Centennial Parkway in Conyers. The dinner will celebrate the history of the United States and include several confirmed dignitaries from across the state. The Newton County Civil Air Patrol’s Color Guard will present the colors guest speakers include Senator Michael Williams, Phil Kent, David Belton, and State Chairman John Padgett.

“We are proud to host a dinner honoring two of the greatest presidents in American History. President Lincoln was credited, among other things, with rebuilding a nation after the bloodiest war in our history and signing the Emancipation Proclamation. This allowed for more than 3 million enslaved African-Americans to be legally labeled as free instead of slave, ending a horrible practice in our nation.” said Toby Dryer, Chairman. “President Reagan, is most notably recognized as ending the cold-war, extending the Voting Rights Act, and making Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday a national holiday.”

Both President’s believed deeply in freedom for all people, regardless of race, gender, or creed. The Rockdale Republicans are proud to honor both of these past presidents who, for different reasons, led a nation through a very difficult time. While we face similar challenges today, these two great men made significant contributions in moving our nation forward as a unified nation. The Rockdale Republicans look forward to working with the community and all elected officials to also lead Rockdale County to one of unity, as these two presidents did for our nation.

The community is invited to attend and may make a reservation at http://www.rockdalegop.com/index.php/events/lincoln-reagan-dinner and may pay online or mail in a check. Registration ends February 24, 2024 or until all tickets are sold out!  Do not miss this event that is sure to sell out!  There are sponsorship and program advertising options available and corporate membership is only $125 and includes 2 tickets to the event. Please contact Michael P. Howington at [email protected] or 404-983-2994 or [email protected] or 770-356-7301 for more details or to register for the dinner outside of the website.

The Rockdale Republicans look forward to your attendance and joining them in celebrating these two president’s lives and the richness they added to make America the nation it is today. For more information about the Rockdale Republicans, contact Chairman Toby Dryer at [email protected].
