American preacher and poet, Edwin Hubbell Chapin once said, “No language can express the power, and beauty, and heroism, and majesty of a mother’s love. It shrinks not where man cowers, and grows stronger where man faints, and over wastes of worldly fortunes sends the radiance of its quenchless fidelity like a star.”
While I did not grow up with my own mother in my life, I always searched and gravitated towards females who mothered me and gave me the love I sought. From these beautiful women, I attribute the parent I am today.

“One of the best lessons I learned from my mother was that sometimes you have to eat ice cream. Yes, we did sometimes have ice cream for dinner. But this lesson was not in the literal sense. And it just so happens that you rarely see people eating ice cream who are sad.” – Audra Gerger, Editor of eMetro Times
