Established by a joint resolution of Congress in 1962, National Police Week occurs each year during the week in which May 15 falls. In conjunction with the resolution, the Conyers-Rockdale Chamber of Commerce is collaboration with the community to raise awareness and honor these dedicated men and women who play an integral part in our society.
Every day, the dedicated law enforcement officers and deputies of Conyers-Rockdale place themselves in harm’s way to ensure that our community remains safe. They also understand that support and involvement from the local citizens is essential to keeping our community safe. We as a community have an opportunity to recognize the noble efforts of these men and women. We are asking for your support to host a “Law Enforcement Appreciation Day” event on Friday, May 15, 2015. The event will feature free barbeque lunch and drawing for prizes for all local officers and deputies.
Working in law enforcement is not just a job. It’s a calling. Officers take an oath to serve and to protect their communities no matter the cost. All officers make sacrifices. They sacrifice holidays, weekends, evenings and time with their families. Let’s join together as a community and say “thank you” to these honorable men and women!
Please contact the Chamber office at 770-483-7049 with any questions or to learn more about this event.
