Registration is now open for the 10th Annual Kim Atkins Memorial Tennis Tournament. This year’s event is scheduled for August 21 and 22, 2015, and features a new, fun format allowing players to register as individuals instead of teams.
On Friday, August 21, there will be an Individual Mixed Doubles Round Robin from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Four Seasons Racquet Club in Snellville for players ages 18 and older. Register as an individual before July 31 and the cost is just $25 per player ($35 per player after July 21). All Friday night players receive a t-shirt and are guaranteed at least four rounds of tennis. Play as many games as you can in 20 minutes; NoAd scoring. Prizes will be awarded to the male and female with the most games won. Boobie prizes will be given to the male and female with the least number of games won! (Registration is limited to the first 40 players.)
Play all day on Saturday, August 22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Summit Chase Country Club in Snellville for players ages 18 and older. Register as an individual before July 31 for just $40 per player ($50 per player after July 31). Registered players will be placed in a team for a Four-Person Men’s/Women’s Team Tournament. The format is an 8-game pro set, NoAd scoring. Prizes will be awarded to the male and female with the most games won. Boobie prizes will be given to the male and female with the least number of games won! (Registration is limited to 96 players.) All players on Saturday will receive a t-shirt, goodie bag, and admission to the 10th Anniversary Celebration Party to be held at Summit Chase from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. after tournament play ends. (Additional tickets to the party can be purchased for $25 each.)
The 10th Anniversary Celebration Party features refreshments, cash bar, awards, Breast Cancer Survivor Recognition, music, raffle, and silent auction.

The Kimberley Chance Atkins Foundation (KCAF) is dedicated to promoting prevention and breast health awareness through regular screenings, mammograms, and breast self-exams. In addition, KCAF operates Kim’s Closet at Rockdale Medical Center. Kim’s Closet is a place where women battling breast cancer and other cancers can go and obtain wigs, scarves, hats and other care items free of charge to help them as they are undergoing cancer treatments. The Closet is particularly designed for women with no health insurance or for those whose insurance does not cover wigs.
